MEMTRAIN was officially concluded, a European project aimed at studying the correlation between physical activity and mnemonic implementation in subjects over 55, who involved our Committee for two years.
The last meeting , held in Prague on the days of 23-24 and 25 September, took place in the form of an event open to the public . “Within the courtyard of one of the schools in Prague, the association Právě teď! ops, leader of the project, has made available to each partner a gazebo , near which to promote and demonstrate their activity “explained the Director of the Committee Roberto Rinaldi , who flew to the capital of the Czech Republic together with instructor Lisa Crosetti . In addition to them there is also a group composed of five subjects over 55 , who during the two previous years have participated assiduously in the Adapted Physical Activity lessons – AFA – made more aerobically to better adapt to the objectives that MEMTRAIN set itself. “On this occasion we carried out our exercises of AFA, the association of the Czech Republic Cestou zdraví zs carried out an interesting demonstration of Nordic Walking, Athletics Ireland showed the exercises of preparation for the discipline of athletics that most adapt to the age examined, the Polish association Gdynia Sport Center was the protagonist of an intense Zumba Senior demonstration, while the Slovenians of Ljudska Univerza Rogaška Slatina practiced a series of useful exercises in coordination especially through the use of hands, which have also been used in the course of our lessons, ”continued Rinaldi, who underlined the good participationof those over 55, who tried the various activities with considerable enthusiasm. The meeting-event was also an opportunity to present the final project manual to the partners : a 90-page work in which all the exercises for each discipline are inserted , explained through the use of simple language and the aid of photographs, which will support future instructors .
