From 21st to 24th April 2018 the Director of the Uisp Committee Cirie Settimo Chivasso Roberto Rinaldi and the Project Manager Francesca Di Feo went to Dublin for the intermediate Meeting of the international project MemTrain.
MemTrain is a project born from several studies that have brought to light the need to find a method to improve the aging of people aged 55 and over, which is often characterized by cognitive impairment and hospitality, which can consequently lead to sedentary lifestyle.
The project is laid out for 10 weeks, where a trained instructor organizes specialized activities for people aged 55 to 70 and others for those over 70.
For the partners, on the other hand, various meetings are organized in which various topics relating to the project are discussed. In the Dublin meeting, in fact, the results obtained so far were highlighted and it was thought about how to improve the lessons to make them more and more varied and effective.
In addition, the final meeting was scheduled, to be held in Prague in the second half of 2018, in which 5 elderly people who attended the courses will also participate.
